Use Photoshop Templates for Pixel-Perfect Icons
Photoshop templates are still one of the best ways to control small-size icon rendering. Instead of drawing one large version and scaling it down blindly, you place artwork inside dedicated zones for each target size and let IconWorkshop assemble the final icon family.
Recommended workflow
- Open the template that matches the icon family you want to build.
- Draw or paste the artwork into each size-specific zone.
- Keep silhouettes simple and contrast strong at the smallest sizes.
- Transfer the completed PSD into IconWorkshop to package the icon automatically.
Use templates whenever the icon carries detail that cannot survive automatic scaling. They are especially useful for product icons, badges, and branded marks that must stay crisp at multiple shell sizes.
